All the others are decisions that will probably be shared but these are the two big decisions that affect you personally. I have seen some girls reduced to tears trying to get this right.

Now I know that you have in your mind just how your dress and your hair will look on the day but it is a know fact and one learned from experience that your final decision will be something different from what you have in mind at the start. Your shopping expedition is going to be a very enjoyable outing. It should take you as long as it takes for you to be happy with your decision, so do not leave it too late to start.

Let them do their job and listen to their suggestions, but don’t forget that it is your opinion that ultimately is the most important. Ask to see the kind of dress that you have decided on and take it from there. It is likely that you will settle on something quite different, because until you see yourself actually in a bridal gown it is all just imagination.
